The Air Stop technology uses a special hydrophilic membrane that stops air from entering the line, minimizing the risk of air embolism and preventing air from entering during patient transport.
Even after the container empties, the infusion line remains filled — greatly improving therapy safety. The membrane is available in several variants (3, 5, and 8 µm), further enhancing the filtration of solid particles.
With Air Stop, medical staff can be confident that the infusion process remains safe, stable, and uninterrupted, no matter the working conditions.
Prime Stop – Automatic Priming and Enhanced Hygiene
Prime Stop features an advanced hydrophobic membrane integrated into the Luer lock cap. The membrane allows air to pass through while blocking fluids, enabling automatic priming of the set.
This innovation improves workflow efficiency, saves valuable time, and reduces the risk of microbial contamination of the Luer lock connection. It also prevents staff from coming into contact with hazardous drugs or blood.
Back Check Valve (BCV) – Effective Protection Against Blood Reflux
The BCV (Back Check Valve) is equipped with a silicone membrane that automatically closes if fluid begins to flow backward.
This solution:
- Prevents the formation of blood clots,
- Ensures proper one-way flow,
- Increases patient comfort and safety.
PVC-Free Sets – Safer for Patients and the Environment
Our next-generation Margomed infusion sets are completely PVC-free and free from harmful plasticizers.
